Destroying Illusion. Anarchism. Activism. These are only a few of the provocative reactions conjured by Le Messie’s WE ARE FALSE brand.

Started in 2005, it immediately caught the attention of the industry and considering it coming out from the little island of Singapore where everything is controlled and engineered , it generated a loud NOIZE that is difficult to ignore.  WE ARE FALSE stood out from all the hype  and raise an alarm call to destroy everything we are make to believe in.

Fast forward to 2010, WE ARE FALSE is ready to unleash it’s latest assault - Disarm or Die ! MADNESS caught up with Le Messie himself and take a peep into the coming revolution.

What inspired DISARM OR DIE ? Of the various link posted in the wearefalse website, are those movies and movements behind the whole concept of the line?

Disarm Or Die came about from an innate wanting to move an important array of suppressed information and message to our intelligent young adults that seek to absorb the alternative view of our social conscious mind and way of thought.

The links on the current website have inspired the birth of the current theme to our Summer release but is more an ongoing vision of FALSE and our propagandic movement of breaking down illusions set in place to disorient and confuse. Based on our ethos that “Everything Is FALSE” the movement looks to seek and question important areas of our modern life and general influences around it.

How did you approach the whole creative process for this collection ?

Like most of my work, it’s deeply driven organically by thought into motivation followed by action. I begin from an area of message that needs to be brought to life and slowly but organically they take shape and form over time. I let one vision give birth to the next until it tells me to stop. The output could be best described as propagandic mixed media.

All your output convert a message, what ’s the message that you try to advocate this time with Disarm or Die ?

The concept of the need for us to look elsewhere for solutions to our everyday chaos, to disarm; to CHANGE, or die; Or Our Evolution As a Human Race May Begin To Reach A Stale Mate.

It’s calling for people to look at different aspects in ways we chose to live our lives that harm our earth, bodies, mind, soul but also more importantly our fellow human and if we continue to carry on, even our children and grandchildren, from understanding the true state of global warming and it’s devastating causes to a blind support towards the illusions set upon many unethical corporations and individuals in the realm of politics, food, pharmaceuticals, mainstream media, and the list goes on to all that we hold important in our reality and lives.

Diasarm Or Die calls for unearthing an idea of possible Change through the personal search for the door of knowledge and truth.

In the 80s and 90s there were many social movement and activism ( e.g direct action, sXe Hardcore, ALF, etc. ) spearheaded and championed by the youth through sub-culture and music. Do you think the last decade had seen a less social conscious attitude taken by the youth of today ?

I would have to say most definitely Yes, the growth of mass media and the help of the world wide web targeted at the very same type of life filled youth that didn’t have those mind numbing illusions back during the 80’s has set an entire demographic of active powerful people into a place of true false yearnings, beliefs and confusion.

An unwanted unknown state of catatonia, the media machine has created a false mind “feed” for it’s willing participants and like everything is produces “it tastes really good”, it’s hard to want to stand-up and voice something when in your reality it’s setup for everything to be perfect and nice (even the chaos is self manufactured by the machine to give you that balance of good and bad) and all that sitting down being hand-fed is causing you to unknowingly slip into a place of dangerous complacency.

Do you think the whole mind-feed/hand-feed state of mind had also invaded the creative scenes?

Not just the creative scenes but every aspect of life to be honest.

Complacency leads to incompetence which leads to negligence and then to a quick stage of entropy. False sense of comfort is the biggest enemy, there is a reason why statics show that men who stop working after the age of 60 and not keep to a regular schedule of keeping their mind busy die sooner then the ones that keep their mind active all the way in their late 80s-90s.

I’m not saying i wanna live forever but that’s an interesting thought that as a formula can resonate to something like the growth of a creative entity, how ever so often we see entropy in them as they begin to find higher levels of success (now without the correct form of reality perception this could lead to “a false sense of comfort” which in turn creates entropy and degradation).

How have the audiences react to the messages so far ? Do you expect any kind of reaction, be it positive or negative, in the first place ? And how important is it to you that those who eventually buy this line get what the messages are about and actually do something for changes ?

FALSE has always been on an activist tip although starting out more subliminal and passive through my mixed media artworks in the beginning.

The recent change has gotten us more motivated to shout the messages out and create a fuller faster larger movement in a shorter span of time, cause we believe we need to effect change and effect it fast.

We’ve received good response from the beginning of the Everything Is FALSE movement and now even more with our Disarm Or Die vision, people wanting to remove more illusions and create change in their lives, people that have found deep mistrust in their surroundings. I believe with my messages I attract like minded individuals and a like minded response is what we’ve been receiving thus far always things like, i never knew that, thanks for passing on the information, this is life changing etc.

For me I believe in organic growth, build and they shall come, speak and they shall hear type of mentality. For those learned in the art and concept of “Everything Is FALSE” they naturally cleave to the message and any output we provide. For those yet to have, as long as there’s a mere wanting to find more, feel more, break down illusions, question the status quo, there’s only a matter of time before they catch on.

From my perspective i just want to have an ethical place in where my influences reign and in areas where I feed my family and myself, in this respect I see it through my independent creative avenues and any positive change I can effect is one step forward.

If EVERYTHING IS FALSE , what is TRUTH then ?

The concept behind the “Everything Is FALSE” movement is the drive to have one question. To find for themselves what the factuality is behind the claim, as with all deeply learned intellectuals behind society through-out the centuries, this very fact of questioning brought about tremendous revelations of hidden truths which directly altered the direction of our current everyday reality.

Like the alchemist and the science men before their time, we need to take the facts into our own hands before we agree and follow with blindfolds on, if we never did we’d still be living in a world believed to be flat. In the age we’re in we are caught up in the highest numbering web of deceits in all of time.. this is from the things as simple from the food we consume, to the pharmaceuticals we heed, to as life altering as the banks we entrust our money too.

TRUTH starts to become what your search in factuality unveils it to be.
